Our Insolvency team is expanding, and we’re seeking skilled accountants to join us in providing exceptional service across a wide range of corporate insolvency and restructuring assignments.
Role Overview
We are looking for motivated Intermediate through to Senior Managers with a strong background in corporate insolvency. As an Insolvency Accountant, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of insolvency cases, including, but not limited to, Voluntary Administrations, Liquidations, Receiverships, and Small Business Restructures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of corporate insolvency engagements.
- Supervise and guide junior staff on tasks and responsibilities.
- Conduct financial investigations and prepare detailed reports.
- Liaise with directors, creditors, and external professionals (lawyers, financiers, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with statutory obligations and meet relevant deadlines.
- Oversee asset realisation and the recovery of funds.
- Attend interviews with directors and creditors to gather necessary information.
- Prepare and review financial models and other financial analysis.
- Identify and resolve complex accounting issues as they arise.
- Contribute to the growth of the business through strong business development and client relationship management.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or Accounting (or related field).
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in corporate insolvency.
- CAANZ or CPA qualified (or working towards qualification).
- Excellent understanding of relevant statutory requirements and insolvency laws.
- Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and work within tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Experience in mentoring or supervising junior staff is highly regarded.
