Finance & Office Manager
Laura Wyatt has been an integral part of the growth of Mackay Goodwin since 2014. She has helped grow the firm from the beginning to the success it is today. Initially beginning her career as an Executive Assistant to Domenic Calabretta, she has now excelled and grown to the role of Finance and Office Manager. Laura has played an active part in shaping the culture of the firm that recognises our people are our biggest asset by ensuring all feel valued and appreciated.
Nelson is a Senior manager in the Mackay Goodwin team and has been in the insolvency industry since 2006. He has managed and specialises in external administration of companies in many different industries dealing with Administrations, Deed of Company Arrangements and Liquidations. Nelson is a qualified CPA and an ARITA member.
Andrew joined the Mackay Goodwin team in early 2016 in our Sydney office. He now heads up Mackay Goodwin’s Brisbane office and Queensland’s operations. With a wealth of knowledge in corporate restructuring and insolvency Andrew works with a range of clients. Andrew is passionate about collaborating with all of his clients and stakeholders to achieve desirable outcomes.
Matthew is a Chartered Accountant with 10 years’ insolvency, turnaround and restructuring experience in both corporate and personal insolvency. Matthew has assisted in the management of trading during the voluntary administration of an ASX listed company, including the management of the company’s $10 million dollar debtor’s ledger. He brings a wealth of knowledge from liaising with creditors who are experiencing financial difficulty and providing strategic options to prevent insolvency to attending to ligation matters and assisting solicitors and barristers in appointments.

Domenic is regarded as one of Australia’s leading restructuring experts with having the most number of appointments in 2017 in the insolvency industry. Domenic has significant experience across all facets of business turnaround, restructuring and administration. Being both an accountant and lawyer, he is considered a disruptor of the industry, having being involved in case law that has changed and improved the playing field of corporate insolvency. Of his impressive career to date, the biggest highlights for Domenic are the businesses that he has helped to save. Domenic is constantly appointed across all industries over companies ranging from small to medium businesses to multinationals. No engagement for Domenic is too small or too big.
Chief Operating Officer
David has been significantly involved in the growth of Mackay Goodwin, by working closely with a number of clients who have required restructure and turnaround solutions. He has extensive experience of pre-appointment meetings throughout Australia – where clients need to understand what the implications are for their company going into Voluntary Administration. David shows great empathy and builds trust with clients through what is an extremely stressful time.
Andrew has specialised in corporate restructuring for a diverse range of industries since 2000, having also worked in business services and auditing. Andrew has worked on many complex restructuring matters in the hospitality, shipping and manufacturing industries. Andrew is also passionate about the development of Insolvency and Risk Management Law in emerging markets in Asia.
Grahame is also regarded as one of Australia’s leading restructuring experts. He has significant experience across all facets of business turnaround, restructuring and administration. He has focused on commercial outcomes and communications with key stakeholders in transitioning various companies through the Voluntary Administration and Deeds of Company Arrangement process for over 20 years. This is in numerous industry segments across Australia. He has also undertaken matters involving overseas operations. When a Deed of Company Arrangement is unsuitable and or unable to be completed he strategically identifies practical alternative courses of action.
Steve’s experience stems from: 15 years in the building and construction industry, and 10 years’ experience in a commercial and insolvency law firm. He has assisted over 3,000 companies during the past 14 years. Steve employs an empathetic, pragmatic and honest approach when dealing with clients and plays an essential role in the service Mackay Goodwin provides to its clients. Steve quickly builds confidence and trust with clients. Steve ensures that our client’s experience with our firm is seamlessly comfortable from the moment contact occurs with our office.
Mitchell has 20 years’ experience in corporate insolvency and restructure. Mitchell is a Registered Liquidator having working on many types of corporate appointments. He has managed complex liquidations and voluntary administrations in numerous industries with expertise in property, finance, manufacturing, IT and building and constructions. Mitchell brings value to appointments from start to finish, from marketing and having initial contact with clients to achieving exceptional outcomes.
Matt has over 20 years’ experience in Corporate Insolvency and Banking. Working on a diverse range of appointments including turnaround management, arranging finance for asset acquisitions, Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidations of small family run companies to high profile Voluntary Administrations of large trading organisations. Matt has also been involved in several successful restructures of ASX listed entities. With Matt’s wealth of knowledge in the Insolvency industry he heads up Mackay Goodwin’s Melbourne Office and Victorian operations.
Joint Head of Advisory
Michael J. Bogue (BCom) is a lateral thinking M&A practitioner and senior business executive with more than 25 years’ top tier experience across numerous industry sectors. He has worked in both large and boutique style M&A practices most notably within JPMorgan Chase & Co’s investment banking unit as Co-Head of Mining & Metals for Asia Pacific and Australian Oil & Gas. He has held a variety of senior executive management positions within ASX and internationally listed corporations. His experience ranging from large-scale cross border M&A transactions through to start-ups makes him ideally placed to advise businesses on scaling, debt and equity capital raisings and moving towards ASX listing.

Anthony Lucic has more than 15 years of insight and experience advising business and government organisations. Anthony has worked closely with numerous Fortune 500 companies as well as international governing bodies, in particular throughout the Asia-Pacific region. His experience directing multiple business units simultaneously, maximising investment outcomes, driving commercial initiatives, mitigating risk and ensuring advisory expectations are met, offer a breadth of knowledge for Mackay Goodwin’s new Advisory division.

Kate is a highly experienced marketing expert with a wealth of knoweledge and creative strategies to further enhance Mackay Goodwin. As a Chief Experience Officer, Kate focuses on all aspects of the experience within the brand and company, pulling together the customer and employee experience. Her rapport with her team members as well as the extension to our clients and referrals is outstanding. In all her campaigns and projects, Kate creates fantastic results. She has been a major contribution in the growth and success of the firm over the past two years.
With over 15 years of expertise in corporate turnaround and insolvency, Thyge has gathered a wealth of experience in a number of industry sectors. He also has a raft of expertise in the personal insolvency field, as a Trustee in Bankruptcy.
